FROM BIRDS & BEES TO BUTTERFLIES & TREES!

OUR NEW NATURE TRAIL IS NOW OPEN TO EXPLORE

Take a peaceful stroll along Knowsley Safari's new Nature Trail and discover native species in the tranquillity of fields and woodland – we’re more than just a home to hundreds of exotic species.

Starting at the Equatorial trail, where you can now get an even closer look at our Vicuña, Capybara and Tapir, or at our Birds of Prey area, where you'll encounter the Soay sheep, Bagot goats and Cameroon Dwarf sheep, take 10 minutes to pause and appreciate the beauty of nature as you wander through our easy, accessible walking paths around the stunning lake.

Taking time to pause and enjoy nature is important for your well-being whatever your age, so make sure you stop, look up, listen, and enjoy everything that is around you. Along our Nature Trail you will see lots of native trees, birds and bugs so keep your eyes out for our “Can you find it?” signs along the way – see what you can discover and learn.

Keep your eyes peeled for birds in the trees; see if you can spot swallows, herons, and many other birds singing in the trees. You may even spot a Kingfisher darting across the lake.

For bug enthusiasts, find creepy crawlies and insects at our innovative bug hotels built entirely from natural materials like logs, leaves, and sticks. Peer inside the nooks and crannies to discover who has moved in!

With an accessible trail and interpretive elements, the Nature Trail is perfect for visitors of all ages and abilities. Make it a relaxing part of your Knowsley Safari visit as you reconnect with nature and boost your mental well-being, one step at a time.
