About the Tawny Owl
The Tawny Owl species can be found worldwide, but are native to Britain. Its habitat is woodland areas, but can also be found in parks and gardens. Most Tawny Owls will prey on small mammals such as rodents, small birds, frogs, fish, insects and worms. The Tawny Owl is roughly around the size of a pigeon, and although it’s Britain’s most familiar and widespread owl, it’s strictly nocturnal and rarely seen during the day unless disturbed.
