About the Chaco Owl

The Chaco Owl is from South America and can be found in Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina. Its habitat is dry, semi-arid woodland and scrub-land, sparse woodland and cacti. As with all birds of prey, this small owl is a carnivore and preys on small mammals and insects, hunting at night then resting during the day. The Chaco Owl stands between 35cm and 40cm tall, weighing between 360g 500kg, the females are the larger, heavier of the species.
