This Knowsley Safari Christmas event returns for 2019, with animal lanterns lighting the path to Santa’s grotto. Experience the foot safari after dark and get into the Christmas spirit with festive fun for the whole family to enjoy.

 

Wander down the lantern-lined pathways and spot illuminated versions of your favourite animals. Cosy up with festive drinks and snacks for the perfect winter warmer during your visit. Watch exciting light shows and climb aboard our thrilling rides. Or, take the kids to see the big man in red at Santa’s Grotto.

Entry to Enchanted is from 4.30pm - 8pm on selected dates and does not include the safari drive. Last admission is at 7pm.

FAQs

How much is it?

The full Enchanted experience includes a visit to the grotto and a present from Santa costs £15 for children over 3. For adults, children under 3 and concessions, tickets are £7.50.

 

If you only want to visit the Light Safari or your children do not want to see Father Christmas, tickets are £7.50 for both adults and children and under 3s go free.

 

How do I book?

You can book your full Enchanted experience online now. First, select tickets for your chosen date, then choose your time slot to meet Santa. You will receive tickets and confirmation of your booking via email.

 

What’s included in the price?

The full Enchanted experience includes entry onto the Light Safari from 4.30pm-8pm and meeting with Santa with a special gift for the little ones. Last entry from 7pm.

Light Safari only tickets will not include Santa’s Grotto.

 

What gift do the kids get?

Our gifts are based on each child’s age. You’ll state this on booking.

 

I’m a member? Do I need to book?

Yes. As this is a special event outside of our normal opening hours, both members and non-members will be charged the same admission price.

 

Do carers need to book?

One to one carers don’t need to book as they will be admitted for free. Any additional carers are required to pay entry prices. Carers must provide evidence such a blue badge or documentation from the DWP.

 

What time do I need to get there?

The Enchanted safari is open from 4.30pm until 8pm on selected dates and last entry is at 7pm. You will be given an allocated time to meet Father Christmas when you book so please arrive in good time to find your way to Santa’s Grotto and explore the Light Safari.

 

How long can I spend there?

You can spend as much time as you like on the Light Safari from 4.30pm until 8pm. We have no set tours so you can explore the magical Light Safari as many times as you like.

 

Is the safari drive included?

No. The safari drive will close at 3.30pm.

 

What if I want to go around the safari drive too?

If you want to explore the safari drive and the foot safari in the daylight, you’ll need to pay separately for this visit. The safari drive will be open from 10.30am until 3.30pm and you can book your tickets here.

 

Do you see any animals?

As this event runs after dark, many of our foot safari animals will be sleeping so will not be visible. However, you’ll be able to enjoy our safari animal lanterns around the foot safari.

 

What if the weather is bad?

Our grotto provides a warm and cosy shelter, however, this event is predominantly outdoors. So, we recommend wrapping up warm and wearing appropriate footwear, layers and waterproofs if needed. In the event of extremely bad weather, we may have to cancel but we will try to give you as much notice as possible.

 

Is parking free?

Yes, we have plenty of free parking available.

 

What if I don’t have a car?

There is pedestrian access onto the foot safari from Prescot train station and local bus stops. Find more information about visiting the safari by public transport here.

 

Will there be food and drink available to purchase?

A selection of both hot and cold food and drinks will be available to purchase at Enchanted. Unfortunately, alcohol cannot be brought into the event.
