Did you know that there are other animal-related fields of work to consider apart from the hands-on roles here on safari. For those interested in teaching and inspiring people to find a connection with animals, a career in Zoological Education might be for you.

Or, if you are interested in studying and learning more about animals, you could choose a career in research and/or conservation.

At Knowsley Safari, we try to provide opportunities for those wanting to explore an animal related career. Below, you’ll find more information on internships with our education team, called the Learning & Discovery department, along with how you can get involved with research at Knowsley Safari.

Learning and Discover Internship

An Internship with our Learning & Discovery team is ideal for those looking to gain valuable experience in zoo/science education, and is also applicable for trainee teachers looking to broaden their experience and work in and out of classroom setting.

We currently offer Education based placements for students during July and August.

Research at Knowsley Safari

Our team actively look for opportunities to discover more about both the animals we have here at Knowsley Safari and those in the wild. We welcome and support projects undertaken at a variety of levels, from higher education students to post-doctoral researchers.
