Spend the day alongside our expert Animal Team and discover first-hand what life behind the scenes at Knowsley Safari is really like.
Over seven hours, you'll help with real keeper tasks, explore areas rarely seen by guests, travel off-road on Safari Drive and learn about the welfare, husbandry and conservation of the incredible animals in our care. One day you could be helping with tiger training, waking up our Andean bears or mucking out our rhinos.
No two days are ever the same, but every experience offers a fascinating insight into animal welfare, conservation and the dedication that goes into caring for the incredible animals that call Knowsley Safari home.

Important Information
Participants must be aged 18 or over.
This experience is physically demanding. You will spend the day on your feet, walking considerable distances around the safari and taking part in practical keeper activities.
Participants must have good mobility and be able to safely get in and out of keeper vehicles.
Unfortunately, this experience is not suitable for wheelchair users.
We are unable to accommodate pregnant women or women who have given birth within the previous six months.
We are unable to accommodate those who are immuno-compromised due to the proximity to animals and their habitats.
Closed-toe footwear is mandatory. Sturdy boots or wellies that you don't mind getting muddy are strongly recommended.
Activities and schedules may vary depending on animal welfare requirements and operational needs.
The welfare of our animals always comes first.
As part of this experience, you'll have opportunities to get closer to the animals and observe the work of our keepers, but all interactions take place entirely on the animals' terms. We never ask our animals to do anything unnatural, and daily activities may change depending on their individual needs and choices.
