About Ostrich

Ostrich have got great survival skills thanks to being alert, having good eyesight and a top running speed of 72kph (45mph); not to mention the fact that it can also deliver a powerful kick with its strong legs. As they live in the sandy African grasslands, an ostrich diet consists mainly of grass, fruits and seeds, but because it is an omnivore it will also eat insects and small animals. Male ostrich share the responsibility of incubating eggs with the females.
