2016 saw record visitor numbers here at Knowsley Safari with over 600,000 people visiting us. We’ve been experiencing massive growth over the last five years and we know how important it is to our guests to make sure our facilities and infrastructure can cope on the busiest of days.
With this in mind we have been busy making some changes to our road layouts over the winter which will help traffic flow. For those of you who have visited us already this year you’ll have seen the new road layout as you enter the park and it will have been hard to miss our new resident, Eliza the giraffe, who has taken up residence on one of our roundabouts (don’t worry about road safety – she’s a statue!).
Throughout March and April we’ll be starting work on some further changes that will transform the entrance to the safari drive and finish off the work we started last year when we reversed the drive. All of these changes will allow an improved flow of traffic into the park and onto the safari drive even on the busiest days making it a better experience for all our guests.
We’ll be trying to keep the disruption to a minimum during the development works but please bear with us over the next few weeks.
