It can be tempting during the winter to stay indoors but if you’re prepared for the weather, a day out can be really rewarding! We’re open Friday, Saturday and Sunday this winter so get your boots on and have a winter adventure. If you’re planning a visit to the safari park there are a few things you should know for this winter:
Foot Safari – free entry this winter
It’s free entry to the foot safari! This is our pedestrian area where you can see elephants, meerkats, sea lions, birds of prey and latest arrivals bush dogs. There is also a selection of rides open (check opening times here) for young thrill-seekers. As we get closer to the festive season we’re transforming areas with Christmas market stalls of food, drink and gifts, Santa’s Grotto (if you’ve been good) and a 25 foot Christmas tree. All the details of Christmas activities are on our website so be sure to check that out!
Safari Drive – £15 per car this winter (T&C’s apply)
The animal team have been busy this autumn building new animal shelters ready for the winter giving you the chance of seeing more even when the weather is less than favourable! Most animals are much hardier than we are and they’re adapted for living outdoors. It is worth noting, with the weather being unpredictable it can mean some animals aren’t on display, animals like the rhino have access to heated housing so may choose to be inside at times. We can’t guarantee you will see all of the animals all of the time. Explore the five mile safari drive with a transformed winter backdrop for just £15. per car, terms and conditions apply.
