Calling all explorers! Camp Knowsley is back for a summer packed with wild challenges, outdoor discoveries, and unforgettable family adventures.
Head into our woodland camp and test your skills with bushcraft activities, campfire cooking, survival challenges, nature trails, and creative crafts. Follow your curiosity, learn new tricks, and see what you’re made of as you explore the great outdoors at your own pace.

Inside Camp Knowsley’s tipi, curiosity leads the way. Will you brave the Bushtucker Challenge? Can you master modern fire lighting techniques? Create your own adventure keepsake, from paracord survival bracelets to Stone Age-inspired pendants.
With activities changing throughout the day, the tipi is the perfect place to drop in, have a go, and discover something new.
Gather around the fire and learn the secrets of the wild.
Gather around the campfire for guided woodland experiences that bring bushcraft skills to life. Depending on the week, you might be cooking pancakes over an open flame, learning traditional fire lighting techniques using flint and steel, or discovering how to purify water before turning it into a warm hot chocolate. These hands-on sessions are full of stories, skills, and surprises — perfect for budding explorers and curious minds.
Slow down, explore, and enjoy the magic of the woodland.
Not every adventure needs a map.
Take a break from exploring and enjoy a slower moment in the woodland. Drop in to toast marshmallows over the fire or try your hand at simple cord making. These informal activities are perfect for dipping in and out of throughout your visit, giving you time to relax while still getting hands-on.
Set off on your own wild journey.
Explore the woodland your way with activities designed for discovery and imagination. Follow the Nature Explorer Trail to spot and log what you find along the way, or get creative with den building using natural materials. Designed for imagination, teamwork, and curiosity, these self-led adventures let every explorer choose their own path and create memories along the way.

No extra ticket needed! All of our Camp Knowsley activities are included in your normal admission ticket.
No – all of our activities are drop in and designed to maximise your explorer spirit. Whether you plan each portion of your day, or stumble upon activities in our woodland, adventure awaits.
Camp Knowsley is perfect for all the family to get involved and find their inner explorer. Some activities will require supervision or a hand from parents, and will be led by our Camp Guides.
If the weather is dangerous (such as high winds) we may have to close access to our Woodland. In this instance we’ll endevour to move all suitable and safe activities to the Tipi and other indoor or covered areas and will signpost this change on the Foot Safari.

Camp Knowsley activities differ in how long they’ll take depending on your child’s age, skill level and how eager they are to get onto the next adventure! Just ask our Guides how long the activity might take to see if it’s for you!
Yes! You can do as many Camp Knowsley activities as you like during your visit. Don’t forget to check the daily schedule to plan the day that’s best for your little adventurers.
