Last year Knowsley Safari embarked on an exciting journey into the world of science with LJMU. This ongoing project saw drone technology being paired with techniques from the world of astrophysics, all in the name of saving species.
This merging of worlds led Dr Claire Burke, PhD, Astrophysicist, down an interesting road, combining disciplines and using techniques from her background in astrophysics, climate science to conservation and ecology problems.
While this technology is new to ecology and conservation, it’s been evolving within astrophysics for decades. Come along to Knowsley Safari this March to hear directly from Dr Claire Burke on this exciting field and what this could mean for wildlife conservation and protection over the coming years.
To celebrate British Science Week, Dr Burke will be speaking right here in our Safari School. For just £5 per person, you’ll get an insight into this exciting project taking place right here on safari.
We went to see Dr Burke at LJMU to get a taste of what the talk might include.
Tickets are limited, so make sure you book now to avoid disappointment.
