Year 3 and 4
- Get your class to read the ‘animal profiles’ of some of our favourite characters at Knowsley Safari
- Pick one to write a short story about.
- Tell us what they get up to overnight when the keepers aren’t here to keep an eye on them! The title of your story should be ‘Night at the Safari’.
- Stories should be no longer than 500 words.
English- Pupils should be able to plan their writing by discussing and recording ideas. Write in organised paragraphs around a theme and include narrative, characters and plot. To be able to evaluate and edit their own work and to proof-read for spelling and punctuation errors.
How to enter:
The name, age, school and contact details should be written on the back of each entry, only 1 entry is allowed per child and unfortunately we will not be able to return submitted entries.
Entries can be dropped off at the park during your visit or posted to Ellie Sowerby, Learning and Discovery Team, Knowsley Safari, Prescot, Merseyside, L34 4AN.
Closing dates for entries is Friday 21st July 2017
