SEND Safari Skills

Our SEND Safari Skills programme is for individuals to book onto, which covers a range of jobs on offer in a Safari Park such as an animal keeper, janitor and engagement ranger, amongst others. Each job will be accompanied by a practical task to give students some real-life work skills.

The programme is run over one day, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Students will build a portfolio, with information on each job they have experienced, which can be taken home upon completion of the programme. Activities may include going on our Safari Drive and learning about our animals, making enrichment, a Q&A with a keeper or conducting behavioural studies.

As the sessions involve visiting multiple departments on safari, moderate mobility is required. We are happy to discuss any mobility requirements and adjust the programme where possible to meet any mobility needs.
