As part of our work in the Red Squirrel Recovery Network, we’re offering free community sessions that focus on wellbeing, connecting people to nature and conserving our native species.
Designed with conservation and communities in mind, our native species engagement sessions give you an insight into the work involved in bringing the much-loved red squirrel back to Knowsley. You’ll discover how we’re restoring habitats, supporting native wildlife and working toward a future where red squirrel can thrive once again.

Conservation Cafe
A relaxed space to connect over coffee, share ideas, and chat about local wildlife. Open to everyone - whether you’re passionate about conservation or just curious to learn more, it’s the perfect opportunity to chat, ask questions, and exchange stories.
Restore & Rewild
Hands-on workshops for all ages, focused on simple, wildlife-friendly actions that help protect and support our native species. Perfect for nature enthusiasts, community groups, families and anyone interested in conservation.
Forest Fables
Step into the magic of the woods with an imaginative story time experience for younger children and their grown-ups. Set beneath the trees these relaxed sessions bring stories around native species to life.
Thrive in the Wild
This immersive woodland session invites children under 11 and their grown-ups to connect with nature and native woodland species by discovering Knowsley Safari's woodland habitat through guided exploration, hands-on activities and mindful moments.
Wellbeing Walk & Talk
Start with a talk on our native species conservation projects before a relaxed wander around the Knowsley Safari woodland. A calm, friendly session designed to help you unwind and reconnect with nature – perfect for all ages.
