We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our African lioness, Jasmin, who passed away in her sleep on Thursday 27th November 2025 whilst resting with the pride.
Jasmin had been experiencing age-related health issues, and had been monitored, assessed and treated by our vets and keepers for the last few months.
Born at Knowsley Safari in 2007, Jasmin was approaching her 19th Birthday, which was a real achievement. She was mother to Sam and Savannah and sister to Handaya, who all live at Knowsley Safari.
Jasmin had a peaceful end to a long and happy life at the Safari, and she will be sorely missed by her keepers, guests and her pride.
