Explore on Foot 

Step out into our Foot Safari for even more close-up encounters. Wander past the meerkats, giraffes, and bush dogs before heading into the Tiger Trail, where you can learn more about our Amur tigers during daily talks – and even catch a glimpse on the cub cam of new mum Yuki with her two tiny cubs.  

Over at the sea lion building, our playful California sea lions put on daily displays that are equal parts fun and educational, while the bird of prey display is a chance to watch magnificent species swoop and soar right overhead.  

Families with little ones won’t want to miss the amusement rides, from the classic carousel to mini rollercoasters, adding an extra splash of excitement to the day.  

Dive Into Camp Knowsley 

Throughout summer, our tipi camp area is bursting with extra fun for families. Young adventurers can try out nature crafts and games, explorer-style challenges and traditional campfire experiences like fire lighting, songs and marshmallow toasting 

It’s all about getting hands-on, learning new skills, and enjoying that camp atmosphere together.

Summer exploring works up an appetite, and we’ve got you covered! Grab a meal at the Oasis Restaurant, share pizza and fries from Outpost Kitchen, or bring along a picnic to enjoy in one of our scenic spots. And yes – there’s always time for an ice cream stop! 

End the Day with a Scenic Train Ride 

Round off your safari day with a relaxing journey on the Equatorial Express. Glide past capybaras, vicuñas and tapirs as you sit back and take in the view. It’s the perfect, gentle ending after a day of discovery and excitement.
