The Knowsley Safari Park Keeper For A Day experience is one day you will remember for a lifetime.
The keeper day starts at 8:15am with tea or coffee and a chat with the general manager or curator of animals where you will have the opportunity to discuss what you hope to experience during the day and maybe highlight any areas of particular interest to you.
After your meeting with the general manager you will head off to your first job of the day which may be checking all the inhabitants of the bug house, sorting out the days feed for the occupants of lake farm or mucking out the elephants (a very big job). During the day you will get to spend time with all our animals and keepers and get to see all the action of the park from behind the scenes, this is a real "warts and all" adventure.
The keeper day is an activity for only one person but there are opportunities to meet up with any relatives or friends in the park at lunch or at the end of the day. Any guests with you will need to pay the normal admission rate. Please note that the safari park will not be open to the public during the week from 31st October to 11th February. You may still complete your keeper day experience with us but additional guests will not be able to gain entry to the park.
Keeper days can run on any day of the week but we do limit this to only three keeper days in any week so book your date as soon as possible. A date is not needed at the time of purchase and gift certificates will be sent out.
We do our best to make this experience as accessible as possible for all ability levels, if you have any specific requirements please call us at the park and we will be happy to talk about what we can do for you.
