Sea lion Show
At Knowsley Safari Park, visitors are treated to performances by our very own ‘Fab Foursome’ – no, not The Beatles, we actually mean our beautiful California Sea Lions, Biffo, Max, Arthur and Reggie!
The daily Sea Lion Show is one of our most popular attractions and is perfect for families with children of all ages. Not only is the show fantastic to watch, it’s also educational; the presenters love to share lots of interesting facts about the sea lions during the show and are always happy to answer any questions you may have at the end.
Show times are:
12.30pm, 1.30pm, 3.00pm, 4.00pm
Sea Lion Pool
When they’re not taking part in the show, the sea lions love to relax in their brilliant outdoor pool where they can swim, play and even sunbathe in the Summer.
There is also a viewing area where you can take a close-up look at the sea lions’ underwater antics, which has proved to be a huge hit with visitors to the Safari Park.
Amazing Skills
The sea lions just love to show off their remarkable skills. Audiences are always amazed by how multi-talented they are! Along with running and jumping, the sea lions can catch rings, balance balls on their noses and even do impressions of seals, porpoises and sharks!
The finale of the Sea Lion Show is the incredible high ball jump, which leaves everyone in the audience cheering with applause.
Fun for All the Family
The sea lions are so fun to watch because they each have their own personality!
Young children are particularly fond of Max, who is always getting into mischief. He can also be a little bit accident prone and has been known to fall off his stand in the middle of the show, which always gets a giggle from the audience!
Whether you’re aged 4 or 94, you’re bound to leave the Sea Lion Show with a huge smile on your face.
About Our Sea Lions
Biffo is the oldest sea lion and is also the most dominant. He is very intelligent, but also very calm, which means that he is the sea lion you are most likely to meet if you take part in a “Keeper for the Day” experience.
Max was born in 1997 and is very cheeky! He is an expert at balancing things on his nose from basketballs to lottery balls!
Arthur was born in 2004 and is probably the most intelligent sea lion. He is very adaptable and is never afraid to give anything a try.
Reggie is the newest addition to the gang as he joined in 2010 when he was just 10 months old.
