Our meerkats have proved themselves to be a model exhibit after artist Philip Garrett came to the park to sculpt them.

Those who have visited the safari park in the last few weeks may have seen Philip as he worked on his latest project next to the meerkat enclosure at the park. From just a few brown lumps of clay Philip has managed to fashion a fantastic meerkat sculpture that we hope will be available to buy in the parks shop. Watch this space for details of that.

Philip will be at Knowsley Safari Park on Sunday 25th October for the Big Draw so come along and have a chat with him and take part in some arty activities yourself, you may even be able to have a go at modelling a meerkat for yourself. Even if it?s wet you can still take part inside our warm dry safari school.
