The Brazilian Rainforest comes to Knowsley Safari Park this August - 23/08/2009
Starting on 1st August, Save The Rainforest event will be held in the Safari School building all month. The room will be transformed into a mini rainforest and our visitors will have the opportunity to meet rainforest minibeasts at close range.
Knowsley Safari Park is working along with over 20 British zoos to raise funding to purchase a rainforest reserve in Brazil. The BIAZA reserve will protect 1,803 acres of threatened Atlantic forest.
Our Rainforest Event also features competitions for our visitors to enjoy , trained staff to answer all your rainforest questions, badge making, meet the Bug House keeper and a free children?s rainforest art zone.
We are happy to announce that the Co Op in Norris Green, Liverpool and Traidcraft have donated some Fair Trade Brazil nuts to help with our fund raising. Many thanks go to both organizations. Please go to the following link to see what else Traidcraft does to help the people who live in rainforests.
