Club Sessions
Intrepid Explorers ages 8-11, once you are a member and have
been issued your secret
code in your welcome pack you can
choose the sessions
you want to come along to.
Saturday & Sunday Mornings 10am – 12.30pm
Mums & Dads – remember you will need to have returned
your club membership consent form at least 7 days before
the session. If you handed it in to the information centre when
you joined – that’s great . If not remember to post it back to us asap.
JuLY: mid summer
muck out
SAT 28th & SUN 29th |
Help the keepers have a clear out! Spend an exciting morning hands-on, cleaning out the enclosures and handling the animals! Includes mucking out the giraffe enclosure and making their beds. Learning how to check our animals are healthy. |

Forests
HALF DAY 9th, 10th |
A session about rainforests. Where we will: meet rainforest animals, go on a rainforest trail in the woodland walk and discover why the rainforest is so important to humans. |

AUGUST: AFRICAN
ADVENTURE
FULL DAY 16th, 17th |
Go on a Safari like never before – getting the full African experience. Sample African foods, make drums, jewellery, handle small African animals, feed the large African animals. And if that wasn’t enough ,get a look behind the scenes of the safari. Full day cost £27 |

Meet all our scariest animals, cockroaches, snakes and rats. See the skulls and teeth of the worlds most dangerous animals and their predator tactics. Plus learn about how to be green by using recycled waste to make Halloween goodies. |

Find out all about the world’s largest animals and how we look after them here.Get a tour of the elephant house, help the keepers prepare the elephants food and play elephant-themed games. |

DECEMBER: festive fun

Get into the Christmas spirit, help make the meerkats, giraffes and wart hogs some yummy festive treats. Then watch the animals enjoy their presents. Find out why winter can be so hard for animals and why some have to hibernate. |
