This show is particularly popular with younger children. Educational and entertaining, the show demonstates each animal's amazing abilities. Be astounded as the park's sea lions jump, run, do impressions of seals and leap from the water in a spectacular finale.

At the end of the show, there's a chance to meet the presenters and ask them questions about the animals.

Biffo, Max and Arthur our three resident Californian Sea lions can be seen all day at the safari park either in one of our shows or in their new outdoor pool which opened in 2008.

All three Sea lions take part in the show at the safari park where they perform different behaviours such as ball balancing, ring catching, porpoising, seal and shark impressions and the big high ball jump finale to name just a few of their skills.

When the Sea lions are not performing in a show they have a brilliant outdoor pool where they can swim play and even sunbathe in the summer. The outdoor pool has a large underwater viewing window where you can also view their antics underwater, this has proved to be a big hit with visitors to the safari park.

BIFFO - born 1995 – weight 105kg

Biffo was born at Brugge Dolphinarium and is the oldest of our three Sea lions at Knowsley Safari Park, Biffo is also the most dominant of the three. Biffo is very reliable and rarely lets us down when we have to complete shows at the park.

Due to his calm nature Biffo is the Sealion you are most likely to meet if you are lucky enough to get the chance to meet our animals up close on one of our “keeper for the day” experiences. Biffo is very intelligent, athletic, graceful and loving, definitely a bit of a ladies man and always a pleasure to have on the team.

MAX – born 1997 – weight 98.5kg

Max is the middle of the three Sealions and was also born at Brugge Dolphinarium. Max is a bit mischievous at times, he is very loving and intelligent but his inquisitive nature can get him into trouble. Max the mischief, as his trainers call him, is an expert at balancing things on his nose from basketballs, footballs, rugby balls and even Euro millions lottery balls! They are no problem at all for Max.

Max can be a little accident prone and often falls of his stand in the middle of the show. If Max isn’t in the mood to perform there is nothing that can persuade him otherwise, thank goodness Biffo is so reliable.

ARTHUR – born 2004 – weight 73kg

Arthur is the youngest of our trio and was born at Longleat Safari Park. As well as being the youngest Arthur is our cutest and cleverest Sea lion. He is very adaptable and has won the hearts of everyone here at Knowsley Safari Park.

Arthur is not afraid of anything meaning he will give anything a go and the trainers say he is a joy to work with. Arthur loves to show off all of his skills and is now very adept at ball balancing, ring catching, gymnastics and many other skills.
